In order to continuously promote the normalization, standardization and legalization of budget performance management, Beijing National Accounting Institute organized the "2020 China High-quality Budget Performance Evaluation Forum" on October 31.

During the opening speech, Qin Rongsheng, president of BNAI, said that BNAI will actively do a good job in policy interpretation and publicity, and vigorously cultivate talents for performance evaluation. In the roundtable session, guests from the government, universities and third-party institutions shared their opinions from different perspectives, such as performance budget reform, talent training for performance evaluation, China’s budget performance management model, cost-benefit measurement of fiscal expenditure, and team building of third-party performance evaluation agencies.

The forum received strong support from relevant units of the Ministry of Finance such as the Supervision and Evaluation Bureau and the Budget Evaluation Center. More than 300 representatives from the performance evaluation industry participated in the on-site activities, and more than 15,000 people watched the webcast. The forum has built a good communication platform for government departments, theoretical and practical circles, and clarified the problems and development trends facing China's performance management in the future.
