On September 15, the BNAI’s Fiscal and Tax Policy and Applied Research Center, in collaboration with Ernst & Young, officially released the White Paper on Strengthening the Green Tax System and Promoting Sustainable Development (2024) during the 2024 China International Fair for Trade in Services.
In recent years, the Research Center has focused on digitized and green-oriented tax reform, consistently advancing research on climate change and environmental taxation to provide theoretical and policy support for the construction of a green tax system. The White Paper reviews China’s progress in responding to international green tax challenges and offers policy recommendations for fostering a green economy and promoting sustainable development, thereby enhancing mechanisms for low-carbon development and encouraging enterprises to pursue green and innovative transformation.
